an hour is earned, part 2

A couple more things about decluttering/organizing that I meant to say yesterday:

1) You can't let an "all or nothing" mentality stop you. Even if you can only spare 5 minutes to clean 1 window, it's better than nothing. 1 clean window is better then NO clean windows. So don't get stuck in that "what's the use, it's such a mess I'll never get finished, so why bother?" thinking.  Don't believe it. It's not true. Every step in the right direction is a step in the right direction.

2) If you've got a whopper of a mess (or even if your small troubles just feel huge), remember that it didn't get that way in one day or week or even one month (barring some disaster, in which case, please tell me all about it, but then you'll still probably feel better if you start getting it sorted now). It took a while, a lot of little not-putting-things-away, lots of small messes left untended. You didn't wake up with a well organized, tidy, clean home/car/closet, and then suddenly, by noon, it was all completely out of control. It took some doing, day after day, and it's perfectly acceptable that getting everything back to happy is going to be a series of small, bit-by-bit steps, too.

3) There was something else, but I can't think of it now! Maybe later...
